FAQ

Questions

Where does the data come from?

From the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) open data: the list of liquor sales licence applications on public notice and the list of liquor sales licences, both updated daily by the AGCO and used under the Open Government Licence – Ontario. Every row links back to the AGCO list it comes from.

What does "applying now" mean?

The venue has applied for a liquor sales licence and the AGCO has put the application on public notice, usually for about four weeks. Most of these venues are not open yet or have not started serving alcohol. "Newly licensed" venues have just been granted their licence.

How much does it cost?

The first 4 weeks are free, with no card needed. After that it's $29/month if you want to keep it.

Does it include phone numbers or owner names?

No. The file lists venues, not people: no owner names, phone numbers or emails. Where a licence holder may be a sole proprietor, the name is left out. The operating company is shown only when it is clearly a company or organisation.

How do I unsubscribe?

Reply "stop" to any email, or write to aurelix_solutions@outlook.com, and we'll take you off the list.
